This Salvia is a probable hybrid of Salvia apiana and S. mellifera and was introduced by California Botanic Garden (formerly Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden). Narrowly oval silvery green leaves are aromatic; upright wand like flowering stems display white flowers in spring and summer. Attracts all kinds of insects.
