Ribes malvaceum
Chaparral currant is a valuable addition to the winter garden, beginning to flower in late fall and continuing through winter. It provides garden color and nectar for hummingbirds when little else is blooming. Requires good drainage. Unlike other currants this one is late summer deciduous.
