Lyman's fern has unusual frilly fronds resulting from twisting of the lobes on the segments. It is a
sterile mutant of polypody found growing near Calistoga in Napa County in 1897. The fronds die
down in late summer and reappear shortly after. Good in a container or shaded rock garden.
