Monkeyflower is a colorful nectar plant. The flowers vary from red to pale yellow. Local forms are
bright orange. Needs good drainage. Grow on banks or among chaparral shrubs. May loose some
leaves during the summer when it can be lightly cut back. Monkeyflower becomes woody with age
and may not live long under normal garden conditions.
